Police Misconduct
The bottom line is this: "Police Officers work for the People." As such, they as Peace Officers, are required by law, to keep order and properly patrol our local neighborhoods and communities to ensure the general safety of the overall citizenry. Unfortunately, there does occur, those rare instances when a Police Officer/Peace Officer, in carrying out his/her respective duties, abuses their authority, and in so doing, either wrongfully arrests or detains a person, or even goes as far as to use unnecessary, unreasonable and/or excessive force.
It is at the point that a Police Officer abuses his/her authority, by either wrongfully arresting, detaining and/or using unnecessary, unreasonable and/or excessive force on its citizenry, that this law firm then steps in, and thereinafter welcomes the opportunity to expose the officer’s improper conduct by properly asserting all viable claims against the officer and the responsible municipality in a court of law.
